| Many
new authors often talk about the difficulties that they encounter
when it comes to publishing a book, unless of course they give away
the slight margin that should be the author’s profit. For
writers in the minority population, there is an added difficulty
that most publishing companies do not accommodate for cultural variances
i.e. the content of a script and as a result what is often not understood/
or presumed not to have a market is often neglected. However with
the advent of self-publishing companies almost anything can be published
these days, but the question still remains; At what cost?
New authors
are often discouraged from publishing due to the illusion currently
sustained in the publishing industry. Unrealistic publishing packages,
dragging new authors through a process that exurbs the excitement
of publishing a book. When the hard work is already done, which
was the writing of the book. Publishing is the ride to the through,
where the author wants to take us, instead of fighting off the
financial cacophony of the illusion. One person who must enjoy
that ride is you, the author.
